Gary A. Dordick

Gary A. Dordick, the founder of Dordick Law Corporation, is a trial attorney specializing in plaintiff jury trials, with over 150 jury trials in his career. He is also on the executive board of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Los Angeles chapter and served as its President in 2025. He is an Emeritus member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) Board of Governors. He is CAALA’s 2001 Trial Lawyer of the Year, an award he was subsequently nominated for eleven unprecedented times. He is also the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) 2009 Trial Attorney of the Year. In 2023, Mr. Dordick was inducted into the CAALA Hall of Fame.

The Daily Journal announced Mr. Dordick as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in California in 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025; one of the Daily Journal’s Top Plaintiff Lawyers in California for 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025; and one of the Daily Journal’s Top Boutique Law Firms in California in 2023. In 2016, he received the Loyola Law School Champion of Justice Award for his career achievements representing Plaintiffs. In 2015, he received the Civil Advocate Award from the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC). In 2003, he received the Bernard Jefferson Award, the University of West Los Angeles School of Law’s highest honor.

Mr. Dordick is frequently invited to lecture on trial practice, ethics, and civility in the courtroom by CAALA Plaintiff’s Trial Academy, Brain Injury Association, Loyola Law School, Western Trial Lawyers Association, Law-Di-Gras, ASCDC Annual Seminar, CAALA and CAOC annual conferences, Pepperdine Law School, and Southwestern Law School, to name a few.

He has secured some of the highest jury verdicts in numerous courthouses, including a record-breaking $115 million verdict in Los Angeles County in 2025, a $900 million verdict in Los Angeles County in 2024, a $2.28 billion verdict in Riverside County in 2023, and a $125 million verdict in Ventura County in 2016.

Mr. Dordick went directly from high school to law school, never attending college. He put himself through a four-year evening program while working at a law firm, starting as a file room clerk. He is licensed to practice law in California and Washington State.

Immediately after passing the California State Bar, Mr. Dordick initially opened his own law firm without any employees. Now, Dordick Law Corporation operates across three locations with four offices and includes more than 19 attorneys. Among them are his three children: Michelle, Dylan, who became a partner in 2025, and Taylor, as well as his wife, Nava. The firm also employs more than 60 full-time staff members, including his youngest son, Kyle, who serves as a clerk.

Mr. Dordick founded Dordick Trial College in Cabo San Lucas, B.C., which holds an annual trial school, donating all proceeds to cancer research. In September 2023, Loyola Law School renamed its advocacy building to the “Dordick Family Trial Advocacy Building” in recognition of contributions made by Mr. Dordick for programs to increase diversity in the legal profession.
