Last year, we introduced the 2025–2026 class of future professionals joining Dordick Law Corporation through Verbum Dei Jesuit High School’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). This year, we’re welcoming a new generation of students while catching up with returning students who are building on everything they learned during their first year.
From gaining confidence in the workplace to exploring future career paths, each student brings a unique perspective to the experience.
Returning Students: Reflecting on Growth

For returning students Anthony Flores, Titus Hill, Alexander de la Cruz, Julio Castrejon, and Cezar Carrillo, another year at Dordick Law Corporation is an opportunity to reflect on how much they have grown.
Anthony has become more comfortable communicating with coworkers, asking for help, and taking on computer-based assignments. He has also discovered an interest in business and finance, with the goal of eventually starting his own business.
“I learned that it’s okay to ask for help. Like, it’s okay to get stuck sometimes,” Anthony explained. “That’s what people are here for, to help you, guide you.”
Titus has grown more independent in completing assignments and more attentive to detail. He has also learned to approach research more thoughtfully, recognizing that finding an answer sometimes requires looking beyond what is immediately obvious.
“Sometimes the answer is not always going to be right in front of your face,” Titus reflected, describing the importance of digging deeper when researching information.
Outside the office, Titus continues exploring his passion for music production and his interest in entrepreneurship.
Alexander has become more comfortable communicating with coworkers and asking questions. He has also learned how organization and professionalism shape the workplace. His experience at Dordick Law Corporation has encouraged him to explore law-related courses and consider a future career as an attorney.
His advice to new students is straightforward: “Always ask questions if you’re confused.” For Alexander, speaking up has been an important part of becoming more confident and learning to navigate the workplace.
Julio has strengthened his sense of responsibility, from meeting deadlines to handling digital files and completing assignments. With a goal of becoming a lawyer, he sees the experience as valuable preparation for his future.
Julio encourages new students not to get discouraged when tasks seem difficult at first. As he has learned, showing up, asking questions, and continuing to practice can make unfamiliar responsibilities easier over time.
Cezar has continued developing his time management, focus, and organizational skills. He particularly enjoys filing and has gained a better understanding of how documents are organized in a legal workplace. He hopes to become more familiar with legal documents and improve his ability to organize case materials as he gains experience.
For these returning students, growth has come through everyday experiences: learning to communicate, becoming more independent, taking responsibility, and discovering new interests along the way.
New Students: First Impressions and New Opportunities

For new students Nathaniel Vargas and Jonathan Johnson, joining Dordick Law Corporation is an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, learn new skills, and begin exploring what the future might hold.
Nathaniel has found that communicating with others every day has helped him become more comfortable interacting with people. He hopes to learn more about how a company operates and how people work together to help others.
His experience so far has been a positive one, and he sees the program as an opportunity to keep learning while becoming a better version of himself.
Jonathan has also been adjusting to the professional environment, learning how to manage digital files, name documents, and complete office tasks. He appreciates the welcoming atmosphere at Dordick Law Corporation, especially knowing that coworkers are willing to help when he has questions.
Although he has not yet settled on a specific career path, Jonathan hopes the experience will help him discover what interests him and guide him toward future opportunities.
Both students are at the beginning of their CWSP journeys, and their experiences will continue to evolve as they take on new responsibilities and become more familiar with the workplace.
Looking Ahead
From returning students reflecting on their progress to new students finding their footing, the 2026–2027 CWSP class represents another chapter in Dordick Law Corporation’s partnership with Verbum Dei Jesuit High School.
We look forward to seeing how Anthony, Titus, Alexander, Julio, and Cezar continue building on their experience, and how Nathaniel and Jonathan grow into their new roles. Each student is on a different path, but they share the opportunity to learn, ask questions, discover their interests, and prepare for what comes next.
