When Dordick Law Corporation joined Verbum Dei Jesuit High School’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) this past year, we were excited for the opportunity to give back to the community and support students with big dreams and bright futures. From our Downtown Los Angeles office, one of our three locations, including Riverside and Beverly Hills, we welcomed four students eager to learn and grow. What we experienced went far beyond our expectations. Now, the Dordick Law Corporation team is honored to be named Rookie of the Year by Verbum Dei CWSP. It’s a recognition we’re proud to receive, but more importantly, it’s a reminder of how meaningful this partnership has been for us and for the four incredible students who joined our team.
The Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP)
Back in 2024, we shared a blog introducing Andrew, Michael, Titus, and Angel, the Verbum Dei students who joined Dordick Law Corporation through the Corporate Work Study Program. The program allows students to step into professional environments while still in high school. They take on real responsibilities, learn how to navigate the workplace, and develop confidence in themselves and their futures. Even more importantly, the money they earn helps cover the cost of their education, making it possible for them to attend a college-prep school that might otherwise be out of reach.
Our Youngest Team Players
Each of them brought their own unique story, energy, and ambition into our workplace. From aspiring attorneys and future forensic detectives to music executives and pilots, these young men arrived with big dreams and were eager to learn.
They contributed to our team, asked thoughtful questions, and gained valuable hands-on experience in the professional world.
Andrew R.
Andrew, who once found courtrooms intimidating, has gained enough confidence to visit them and now has a new interest in pursuing law school.
Michael V.
Michael had a difficult experience while working for another company. However, after working with the Dordick Law Corporation team, he understood what it means to feel valued in the workplace.
Titus H.
Titus was always full of creativity and kindness, he helped our team better understand how to connect with younger clients.
Angel M.
Angel, whose eyes were set on aviation, found unexpected inspiration in the legal field after seeing firsthand the positive impact of Dordick Law Corporation.
The Rookie of The Year Award
This award isn’t just about our first year as a partner. It is a recognition of the entire Dordick Law team. It reflects the relationships we built together, the lessons we shared with our students, and our collective belief that investing in our youth is always worth it. At Dordick Law, we take great pride in the work we do inside the courtroom. But it is moments like these, where we come together to guide and support the next generation, that truly define who we are as a team.
Thank you to Verbum Dei Jesuit High School for welcoming us into their CWSP network. And thank you to Andrew, Michael, Titus, and Angel for showing us what’s possible when talent meets opportunity.
